Travel's Notes

At a time marked by fierce oppression and heroic resistance, we at L’Europeista can only renew our unwavering commitment to the Iranian people.

This afternoon, Tuesday 3 March 2026, at 6 p.m., in Piazza Santi Apostoli in Rome, we will proudly participate in the national demonstration ‘With Iranians for a free Iran‘, organised by Setteottobre and supported by a broad front of associations and parties, animated by the same flame of justice and democracy.

As our director, Piercamillo Falasca, stated in his post on X: ‘This afternoon at 6pm, in Rome. There is an Italy that knows where it stands. And we of L’Europeista are there.”

These words are not just an announcement: they are an oath

For years, Iranian squares have been seething with indomitable resistance, with women and men challenging the theocratic regime with their bare hands, marching against the brutal repression that stifles every voice of dissent.

The ayatollahs’ regime has crushed fundamental freedoms, imprisoned innocents, and imposed a veil of terror over a nation rich in history and potential. Yet, from the streets of Tehran to global protests, the cry for freedom will not die down.

And now, in this dramatic context, the recent war in the Middle East has marked an epochal turning point: the killing of Ayatollah Khamenei has torn the veil of the regime’s invincibility, accelerating the collapse of a system founded on oppression and fanaticism.

These events are not just to be consigned to the news shelf; they are true catalysts for change, reminders that tyranny is not eternal.

We at L’Europeista, as a newspaper committed to the defence of universal values of freedom and human rights, have always amplified these stories of courage, denouncing obscurantism and supporting those who fight for a secular, democratic and prosperous Iran.

The Europeanist is there today, and will always be there: in the reports that illuminate the shadows, in the analyses that expose the lies, and in the squares where solidarity becomes action.

We invite all of you – readers, activists, dreamers of a better world – to take to the streets with us today. Join this wave of voices for a free Iran: history is calling us, and together we can make it tremble. Don’t miss it.
