Casa Europa: Congress of pro-Europeans in Rome; ”why Europe is under attack”
“The Russian war in Ukraine, the hybrid war, the aggressiveness of autocracies and the weakness of EU institutions put the very existence of Europe at risk. That is why we have called a ‘congress of the pro-Europeans’: the time for illusions is over, either Europeans defend their Union now by planning steps forward, or others will decide for them’.
This was stated by the promoters of ‘Casa Europa – The Congress of Europeanists’ in presenting the initiative.
The event will be held at Roma Eventi (at Via Alibert 5a) on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November 2025.
The presidency of the Congress has been entrusted to Oles Horodetskyy, one of the main leaders of the Ukrainian community in Italy. Promoted by L’Europeista, Europa Radicale, Comitato Ventotene and Avanguardia, the Congress proposes two days of debate and promotion of concrete initiatives, which will be discussed and voted on by the participants.
Among others, EU Parliament vice-president Pina Picierno and MEP Sandro Gozi, former vice-president Fabio Massimo Castaldo, Dem senator Filippo Sensi, FI deputy secretary Deborah Bergamini and the secretary of the Young Fascists Simone Leoni have confirmed their participation, the Azione MPs Ettore Rosato, Giulia Pastorella and Marco Lombardo, the vice-president of Noi Moderati Maria Chiara Fazio, the deputy secretary of +Europa Antonella Soldo, Luca Di Egidio of IV and Alberto Forchielli of Ora!, the president of Radicali Italiani Matteo Hallissey and PLD president Andrea Marcucci. Among the civil society exponents were Giuseppe Benedetto (Einaudi Foundation), Pier Virgilio Dastoli (President of the European Movement), Giorgio Dell’Arti (writer and historian), Filippo Rossi (essayist and promoter of the Good Right), Roberto Castaldi (European Federalist Movement), Amanda Ribichini (European Federalist Youth), Francesco Giubilei (National Alliance Foundation) and Russian dissident Daria Kryukova.

Among the adhering associations to date are Europa per l’Italia, Dipende da Noi, Buona Destra, AIM for Europe, Movimento Elettori Consumatori, Italia Europea, Sapienza Futura and Federazione Italiana per i Diritti Umani. Others are expected.
The goal – for the promoters – ‘is not a new party, but to put all pro-Europeans in front of the choice: either we cooperate concretely, or the enemies of Europe will prevail’.
Appointment at 2.30 p.m. on 29 November for the start of work.
